I like Jolly Joker's site, overall, even if most of it is blatant piracy. I've downloaded a few of the official Dead releases, but they're mostly one's I've owned (and BOUGHT) for years but am either too lazy to dig up and rip so I can have them on my computer, or were ones that I lent to my ex girlfriend who scratched em all up and made them unlistenable. In the majority of almost every official release, I've already had a lossless copy of the show for a long time anyway, and I'll download the "official" version from Jolly Joker just to see if they're worth upgrading and buying. Generally they aren't.

i almost always find that to be the case too. as far as the dead - i already have more than i can ever even listen to on lossless copies. there are a few interesting non-dead collections on Jolly Joker that I grabbed a few tracks from. I certainly wouldnt be spending $50+ for something i only want a few tracks from. Many people look at this as somewhat immoral. However, i aint losing any sleep over it -
